The Immaculate Collection
Music Compilation - Released November 1990
The Immaculate Collection is the first commercially released greatest videos compilation by Madonna. Released by Warner Music Vision, Warner Reprise Video and Sire Records on 13 November 1990 to accompany the audio CD, it contained hits spanning 1983-1990.
The music video includes the first showing of the video to “Oh Father” (1989) which is not included on the audio release and had not been released as a single in some countries, including the UK although it would be released here belatedly. As a bonus it also included an additional video for ‘Vogue’ – Madonna much lauded performance at the 1990 MTV Video Awards.
The cover to this release was different from the audio version as it incorporated the back cover image from the CD/LP.
The video sold a total of 391,000 copies across United States and won “Best Long Form Video” category at the 1991 MTV Video Music Awards.
In the UK, it was certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry for shipment of 50,000 units.

UK Video Releases
The are two versions of the video, one of which may be an early miss-pressing. Both versions have the same cover and the same sticker on the video cassette but while the standard version has 'The Immaculate Collection' along the spine and also a 'Warner Music Vision' logo on the rear both of these are missing from the rare alternative version.
