The Brit Awards 1992
Whereas 1991 was unusually quiet, with only one solitary DMC disc narrowly avoiding a yearly no-show, 1992 was unusually busy. Madonna appeared on no fewer than five separate compilation albums, plus a notable bootleg containing a rare track from the early catalogue.
The first compilation was released in February, an official celebration of the nominees for the 1992 Brit Awards. Madonna had been nominated in the ‘Best International Solo Artist’ category and although she did not win (it was won by Prince), her track ‘Rescue Me’ was included in the album.
