Keep It Together
Promo only release in UK
'Keep It Together' is the second track that was only issued in the UK as a promotional 12" white label - the first being 'Spotlight'.
Written and produced by Madonna and Stephen Bray, the main inspiration was Madonna's relationship with her family—whom she dearly missed after her divorce from actor Sean Penn. The song was also dedicated to Sly and the Family Stone. It was released in the US in February 1990 and peaked at No. 8
For collectors the white label is generally quite easy to track down selling for no more than £20. However, there is a rarer version that comes in a stickered sleeve with a press release indicating the track's imminant release in the UK as the B-side to Madonna's next 'Monster' single - which was of course 'Vogue'. Expect to pay double if not more for this version.
